Glasswitch app, website, and support

Updated September 18, 2026

The app stays local

Glasswitch reads the current default browser and basic information about installed compatible browsers locally on your Mac. Language, appearance, and other app preferences are stored locally. The app has no account, advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDK. It does not read browsing history, webpage content, cookies, passwords, or bookmarks.

This website

The public marketing site is hosted on GitHub Pages. We add no analytics or advertising trackers. The static site stores your language and appearance (light or dark) choices in your browser’s local storage; clearing this site’s data removes those preferences. GitHub may process connection information such as IP addresses and technical request logs under its own privacy statement. The app’s local-only design does not mean that website hosting processes no data.

Optional support reports

Choosing Feedback opens our public GitHub issue tracker in your browser. Submitting an issue requires a GitHub account. The report, attachments, and public profile information you choose to share can be read by maintainers and other visitors. Share only information needed to explain the problem. Do not include passwords, account credentials, private URLs, purchase receipts, or other sensitive information. GitHub handles the account and hosting of that content under its policies.

Apple services

App Store purchases, downloads, and updates are handled by Apple. Apple’s privacy policy applies to those services and to information you choose to share with Apple. These services are separate from Glasswitch’s local browser and preference handling.
