PRIVACY, IN PLAIN WORDS
Your data, clearly explained.
What stays on your Mac, and what may be shared when you choose to send feedback. We keep those two things separate.
Power history stays local
History recorded by the app stays on your Mac, with no automatic telemetry.
You choose to send feedback
Anything you share may leave your device. Check it before sending.
No tracking on this website
No analytics SDKs, ad pixels, third-party fonts or diagnostics uploads.
Scope
This page covers local power records in Voltyn (the Mac App Store version), the planned diagnostics export, and how this website handles data.
Diagnostics preview and export are still in development. Anything this page says about that feature describes planned behavior, not a released feature. The public support email is listed in the contact section below.
The Chinese version of this page is the primary text; if the two differ, the Chinese version applies.
Local power data
Voltyn uses the power information macOS makes available to show readings, and stores the power history the app records on your Mac. The menu bar, widget and Details window show live readings, snapshots or history as appropriate.
This history is not uploaded through automatic telemetry. It only covers periods the app actually recorded.
Exact retention and clean-up behavior will be confirmed with the accepted release. This page makes no promises about unconfirmed retention periods, continuous background recording or automatic clean-up.
Feedback and diagnostics
Diagnostics are in development; this website accepts no uploads.
There is no diagnostics upload backend or file submission form.
A planned diagnostics report may include selected power data, timestamps, app and macOS versions, and notes you write. Once available, you would preview the report first and then decide whether to export it or share it with support.
Exporting to a local file and sending to someone are different actions. Whenever you send an email, screenshot or report, that content may leave your device, so we never describe feedback as “no data ever leaves your device”.
Remove anything unnecessary before sharing. Never send your Apple Account password, payment details, device serial number or full system logs. GitHub Issues is public: your post, GitHub identity and follow-up discussion may be seen or indexed by others. Only post the minimum non-sensitive text there, and never attach diagnostic logs, serial numbers or account details.
This website has no diagnostics upload. A support email may include your address, message and any attachments you add, which the recipient may receive and process. Emailing us is different from the app processing power history locally without automatic telemetry. Please describe the issue first without sensitive material, and confirm whether diagnostics are needed and how to send them. Email is not an automatic upload service and is not end-to-end encrypted. This page makes no promises about retention, deletion or reply times that have not been agreed.
This website and GitHub Pages
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. It adds no analytics, ad pixels or third-party fonts, has no sign-up, payment or diagnostics upload forms, and does not use cookies or browser storage to track visitors. The one exception: when you click the dark / light toggle in the header, your browser stores that display preference locally (key voltyn-theme). It is never sent to a server, and clearing site data removes it.
All text, styles, icons and scripts are served by the website itself. Power values and charts are labelled illustrations; the site never reads real power data from your computer.
Visiting the site sends normal network requests to GitHub Pages. GitHub states that it logs visitor IP addresses for security purposes, so the absence of analytics scripts does not mean the host keeps no access logs. See GitHub Pages data collection and the GitHub Privacy Statement.
External links and services
The support page links to Apple’s official refund guidance. External services apply their own rules once you follow a link; this website does not sign in for you, handle payments or decide refunds.
The email link opens your mail app; this site never sends email or attachments by itself. App Store download links point to Apple’s official pages. Purchases, downloads and payment are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms, and this website receives none of your purchase information.
Your choices
- You can read the website and troubleshooting guide without submitting anything.
- Before sending feedback, remove anything unnecessary and decide whether to attach screenshots or a future diagnostics report.
- Reports you export locally stay with you; check them again before sharing.
- If you have concerns about something you sent, explain by email. Do not repost sensitive content in public issues. Handling will need to be confirmed; this page does not promise a fixed deletion time.
Contact and updates
The public support email is configured. When diagnostics pass final acceptance or data handling changes, this page will be reviewed against the actual release and its date updated.
Contact Voltyn support
You can email a non-sensitive description of your issue to the public support address. The link only opens your mail app; you decide what to send, and the recipient may receive and process what you send.
laths.delays-9d@icloud.comEmail is a contact channel, not an automatic upload service, and is not end-to-end encrypted. If diagnostics might be needed, first confirm by email what is required and how to send it. Do not send full system logs.
Or ask in public
GitHub Issues is for non-sensitive questions. Your post and GitHub identity are public, and posting requires a GitHub sign-in.
Ask on GitHubNever attach diagnostic logs, serial numbers, account details, passwords, payment details or other private information to public issues. This website has no diagnostics upload and never sends email or attachments on your behalf.
We do not promise instant replies, fixed response times or refund approval.
